Responsibility that begins with materials, manufacturing, and attitude.

At Hauck.barista.tools, we believe that sustainability is not a marketing promise, but a matter of principle. Every decision – whether regarding materials, manufacturing, or packaging – has an impact. We cannot completely avoid this impact, but we can deal with it consciously and responsibly.

This attitude doesn't end with the product for us. Many of the decisions we make in the company also reflect how we live our private lives : conscious consumption, repairing things instead of replacing them, valuing resources and not taking them for granted. This very understanding shapes our work as well.

Choose materials consciously

We focus on materials that are durable, functional, and meaningfully recyclable . We prioritize recycled and recyclable materials, as well as wood- and paper-based solutions from responsible sources. For new or bio-based materials, we carefully examine whether they truly offer added ecological value in practice – not everything labeled "sustainable" actually is.

We are familiar with this trade-off from everyday life: things shouldn't sound perfect, but should function for a long time .

Manufacturing with respect for resources

A large part of the environmental impact occurs during production. Therefore, when manufacturing our products and in our collaborations with partners, we ensure that processes are as efficient and clean as possible:

  • Material waste and rejects are reduced,

  • Products are manufactured and inspected with precision.

  • Packaging and shipping are considered from the very beginning.

For us, quality means not only good design, but also durability . A product that is used for many years is often more sustainable than any short-term optimization.

Durability instead of quick replacement

We don't believe in disposable products – neither professionally nor personally. Our tools are designed to be used long-term . If something can be repaired, maintained, or reused, that's the better way for us. Sustainability often simply means using things for longer.

Packaging: necessary, but deliberately reduced

Packaging is unavoidable, but it should be used as sparingly as possible . We pay attention to appropriate sizes, avoid unnecessary outer packaging, and use materials that are easily recycled or reused. Our packaging is designed to protect – not impress.

Here too, the same applies: there is no perfect solution. What's important is to make realistic decisions and continuously improve them.

Consider the supply chain

Sustainability doesn't end with the product itself. Transport routes, storage, and shipping play an equally important role. That's why we focus on short routes, efficient packaging concepts, and a shipping strategy that avoids unnecessary emissions – without much effort, but with real impact.

Not perfection, but a clear stance

We don't claim to be perfect. But we take responsibility – for our products, for our decisions, and for the environment in which we live and work. We bear this responsibility not only as a company, but also as individuals in our daily lives .

For us, acting sustainably means remaining mindful, learning and implementing better solutions step by step – with respect for nature and the resources available to us.
