The Hauck SF-Tamper V5 combines an integrated portafilter support with a precisely manufactured stainless-steel base and an ergonomic solid-wood handle. The support helps align the tamper as level and consistently as possible and can reduce avoidable angle variation in the tamping workflow.
The SF-Tamper V5 is designed as a precision tool for controlled tamping. It does not replace the need to dial in grind size, dose, distribution, basket and recipe.
Integrated portafilter support for controlled guidance
The integrated support uses the rim of the portafilter as an additional geometric reference when positioning the tamper. This can help the user achieve more consistent alignment from one tamp to the next.
The maximum insertion depth is 20 mm. This provides working travel for different fill levels and espresso baskets, provided that their geometry and fill level are compatible with the selected tamper size.
Precisely manufactured stainless-steel base
The base is made from stainless steel and designed with clean geometry and surface finish. The appropriate diameter depends on the espresso basket actually being used. The required size is selected through the corresponding product variant.
A well-fitting tamper should cover as much of the usable basket area as practical without binding against the basket wall. The correct fit therefore depends on the specific basket rather than the nominal machine size alone.
Solid-wood handle and ergonomic handling
The handle is made from solid wood and designed to support a controlled hand position during tamping. Its material, shape and balance support a calm, repeatable workflow.
Further development of the Hauck tamper concept
The SF-Tamper V5 continues Hauck's concept of using an additional portafilter support and develops it further for a stable and precise tamping process. The focus is not on applying as much tamping pressure as possible, but on controlled guidance of the tool.
Technical features
- integrated portafilter support to assist with level alignment
- maximum insertion depth: 20 mm
- precisely manufactured stainless-steel base
- solid-wood handle
- different base diameters depending on the selected variant
- designed for a controlled and repeatable tamping workflow
