The handle of this special edition is made from stabilized spalted maple burl in a hybrid construction. Characteristic fibre swirls, grain patterns and colour variations give each version an individual appearance.
In this context, hybrid refers to materials in which natural or stabilized wood is combined with another material, such as coloured resin.
The flat base is made from stainless steel. The Rune handle shape is designed for ergonomic handling and controlled guidance during tamping. The actual ergonomic feel depends on hand size and grip style.
A controlled tamping process is one part of puck preparation. Extraction and taste also depend on grind size, dose, distribution, coffee, basket and other brewing parameters.
